Golden rule · Always back up to GitHub. There was a company that built a car rental system with Claude Code, with five large clients whose entire operation was based on it. They let the agent perform a version update · and it, of its own accord, deleted three months of work for them. The problem was not the agent · but that they did not save the version to GitHub before the update. Sometimes AI makes mistakes. Always back up to the cloud before a major change, and never give the agent access to finances or credit cards.
