Claude Design guide in English · Anthropic's design tool. How to build design systems, presentations, websites, prototypes, and videos using natural language, and how to avoid burning your usage limit. Step by step.
Claude Design is the new design product from Anthropic, sitting alongside Claude chat, Claude Code, and Cowork. Instead of designing manually like in Figma, you describe what you want in natural language, and Claude builds and designs it, while automatically maintaining brand consistency. Its real power is branding: you build a design system once (logo, colors, typography, buttons), and everything produced afterwards is branded and uniform. The tool is largely powered by Opus 4.7, the model with the most advanced vision, and it even 'looks with its own eyes' at what it built (verifier) to fix mistakes. You can export from it to Claude Code, Canva, Figma, as HTML, or as a zip. Many have called it the 'Figma killer'. This guide takes you from zero to expert level · what Claude Design is, what you can build in it, the full end-to-end brand building process, and most importantly · how not to burn through your usage limit quickly.
What you can build in Claude Design

- Mobile App Prototypes · Interactive iOS screens, light/dark mode
- Launch Videos and Animated Promos · Motion graphics and animations

The 9 Work Steps
Want to master Claude Code from scratch?
- Company invention · Do all brainstorming and research in a regular Claude chat, not in Design · concept, audience, mission, positioning, voice
- Branding · Claude generates a color palette, typography, and visual hierarchy, and saves it as a Markdown file
- Logo · Ideation on logo variations in the chat, or in GPT Image 2 or Nano Banana
- Design System · Create a new system in Claude Design · Name, logo, brand concept file, and notes. Review and approve each element
- Pitch Deck · Drop in the brand concept and outline from the chat, and Claude builds all slides and runs a verifier
- Website or Landing Page · Drop in the brand concept, draw a sketch of the hero, add a video background, and provide a detailed prompt
- App Prototype · Build a full spec in the chat, paste it into Design, and Claude builds interactive iOS screens
- Launch Video · From Template to Animation · Provide the design system and Claude generates a 25 to 30 second video
- Live Deploy · Share to zip, Claude Code, GitHub, Vercel, to a live URL
⚠️ The Most Important Secret · Never do brainstorming inside Claude Design. All planning, research, and outlining happens in regular Claude chat. Only bring a refined plan into Design. This way, cheap input tokens do the heavy lifting, instead of Claude burning output tokens in the wrong direction.

Key features worth knowing
The full Claude Code workshop brings everything together in one place: installation, skills, agents, and building websites. 4 recorded sessions with lifetime access.
- Plan in chat, not in Design · Bring a ready plan instead of thinking inside the tool.
- Model by stage · Opus 4.7 for planning and major changes, Sonnet 4.6 for all small tweaks and iterations.
- Use the Tweaks panel, edits in-line, comments and draw · Instead of natural language prompts. More accurate and saves tokens.
- One major visual change per prompt · If you ask for 5 changes at once, Claude will do 1-2 well and ignore the rest.
- Long threads pollute the context · When a project gets long, export, open a fresh session, and continue.
- Do not upload unnecessary code base to the design system · Only logo, colors, typography and a few buttons.
- When the limit runs out · Switch to Claude Code (separate counter) and continue there.

- Design system first · Build one, build it well, and share it with the team. Do not build five
- Use negatives · State what you do not want (fonts, colors)
