How to plan your next vacation with AI · The complete guide to smart travel.

Most people plan a vacation with AI like this: they open a chat, write 'I want to fly to such and such destination on such and such budget, find me something cool', and get a generic answer that suits everyone. But everyone has their own unique vacation. In session 22 of the AI Master Club, we went over a whole set of tools and methods, most of them by Google and most of them free, that take a vacation from standard planning to a personalized experience: destinations chosen according to your real history, flights at the lowest price, a personal map with all the best places, a travel app built in two minutes, and even an agent that calls a restaurant for you in Greek. The guide is divided into two parts, exactly like the session: planning the vacation until arrival at the destination, and tools that upgrade the experience when you are already there. No Claude Code, nothing technical. Everything from your phone.

Important to know: The feature does not turn on by itself. Google activates it only if you have proactively chosen to do so, and you can turn it off at any time. For those who do not feel comfortable giving AI access to emails and calendar, that is completely legitimate. All other tools in the guide work great even without this.

Travel hacker prompt · Getting to the destination for less money

I plan to arrive in [destination city] from [origin city] on [dates], [number] passengers. Do not suggest only the direct route. Find alternative and cheaper ways to get to the same destination: 1. Secondary airports around the destination (even up to an hour and a half drive away), including how to get from them to the destination by bus, train, or taxi and at what cost. 2. Landing in a neighboring country or nearby city from which arrival is cheap and simple. 3. Low-cost airlines and charter flights that do not always appear in comparison engines. 4. Splitting tickets: Whether two separate flights turn out cheaper than one ticket. For each option, provide an estimated total cost (flight + arrival at destination), total time, and links for checking.

Questions raised in the session

Almost everything is free: Gemini with Canvas, NotebookLM, Google Flights, My Maps, and Translate. You also do not need an advanced model, in the session we worked with Gemini's standard and fast model. The only exception: Genspark's phone agent, which costs about a dollar or two per call.

A feature in Gemini that gives it access to Gmail, Calendar, Drive, and your search history, so it learns your preferences and returns personalized answers. Activated through Settings, select Personal Intelligence, turn on Memory, and check Connected Apps. It is turned off by default and can be turned off at any moment.

You can share it like a file, but it is not a live site with a domain, and deploying it to the web is complicated (it is not Claude Code that connects to Vercel in a second). It is mainly useful for you on your phone. And offline it does work, because the code is already built and internet is not needed to run it.

From there you produce insights, summaries, presentations, and tables. And if you give each notebook a name and date, you can later ask Gemini directly 'What were the insights from the last meeting'.

You combine it in the prompt: you ask Gemini or ChatGPT to connect the components together, flight, accommodation, and car, and compare against ready-made packages. Flights are verified on Google Flights and accommodation in Vacation Rentals or hotel engines.

Does all of this require a paid subscription?
